State-of-the-Art Technology
For power, PVDC-01 uses multiple Matrix 5000 UPS devices. Not only do we have two megawatts of dediated power, but our 240 volt circuitry with expandable SmartCell batteries automatically provides power for hours during a blackout situation. Our emergency backup systems include a portable 245,000 watt diesel powered generator capable of powering PVDC-01 for more than 240 hours. Our full daily client-content backups and hourly system backups ensure no data loss to any PVDC-1 housed server, while our 1.2 Terrabyte Adic Scalar 100 Tape Library automatically backs up mission-critical data.

Technical Specifications
Our OC12 is directly connected to Cox Communication's nationwide fiber backbone. BGP4 is being used on all border and core routers to ensure the closest and quickest path between every request is utilized. Cisco routers are the core of PVDC-1. All our routers are configured with Cisco's hot standby router protocol (HSRP) which will re-route traffic around network failures. In addition, we use a Cisco Catalyst Series Etherswitch with full GigE connectivity, Bay Networks 100Mbit Ethernet Adapters, 19'' seismically braced cabinets, Category-5 cabling, and PVDC-01 is a carrier-neutral facility with cross-connects available to all bandwidth providers on 10Mbps, 100Mbps or 1000Mbps (GigE) connections.

Network Reliability
As security precautions, we have a guard on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our motion detectors and internal cameras are supplemented by alarm monitoring by Central Station. Because when you're hosting clients who do a billion dollars worth of business, the contents of their servers needs to be both confidential and secure.

Scalability
Our Microsoft Certified Senior Level Systems Administrators maintain the NT servers while trained UNIX technicians maintain our UNIX servers. Our trained professionals monitor all our servers 24/7 while our custom built monitoring software checks all vital web ports to ensure no loss of connectivity or data.
